I am a qualified counsellor who has lived it too: therapy helped me through my own period of severe anxiety and depression between 2016 and 2018. My therapist didn't tell me what to think or what to do, and I won't do that either. Good therapy is about empathy, trust, safety and time. From this foundation, insights can emerge that help you see or feel things in new and different ways.
I am a qualified coach with a background in executive and team coaching. But as a qualified therapist, I prefer to work in a way that integrates coaching with talking therapy. In my experience, this is a better way of getting under the hood of what's really important to you, what your worries are and where you might be stuck.
I can help you explore the psychology, philosophy and neuroscience of mindfulness and the benefits of mindful breathing, meditation, Hatha Yoga, QiGong and mindful walking. I lead Day Retreats from our farm in Derbyshire (sign up to my newsletter for info). I also teach one-to-one sessions or structured programmes like Oxford University's Finding Peace in a Frantic World course.
